Administrative Structure
In April 2004, the Board of Trustees approved a new structure for the future leadership of our District. This decision followed a lengthy evaluation of our current method of structuring Administration and included research of other models to assure a structure that best supports student learning in our District.  Many interviews were conducted with both Superintendents and Trustees of school districts across California on the various models applicable to small school districts.

To best meet the needs of our students, the analysis showed that in a single school district such as ours, we needed to restore the previous level of administration (back to three administrators) and separate the functions of Superintendent and Principal as the responsibilities in each of these positions has grown increasingly more complex. This structure of a Superintendent, Principal and Assistant Principal/Director of Facilities increases the day-to-day oversight and coordination of the program for our students and more evenly distributes the workload demands of the current  Superintendent/Principal position over two positions.
