Ross School PTA
Mission Statement and Goals
It is the mission of the Ross School PTA to collaborate with the school to support and enrich the educational needs of each student, parents and staff by providing appropriate resources, valuable information and volunteer opportunities in order to maintain standards of academic excellence at Ross School.
The Goals of the Ross School PTA are:
Student Learning: To develop and enhance student learning through educational and enrichment programs.
Communication: To promote regular and meaningful communication between home and school.
Safety and School Culture: To promote a safe and positive atmosphere for the student, faculty, and parent body by encouraging respect for oneself, others and property.
Parenting: To support parents in the development and enhancement of their parenting skills through educational and other programs.
Volunteering: To support school activities and programs by organizing parent volunteers and to provide funding for designated educational and enrichment programs through fundraising activities.
Fine Arts: To provide financial support and volunteers for the fine arts programs.
Middle School Athletics: To provide financial support for after-school athletic opportunities for our adolescent students.
School Decision-Making: To promote parental and staff participation in decisions affecting students and families.
Collaborating with the Community: To work with community resources to strengthen the school, families and student learning.
Legislative Advocacy: To advocate on behalf of the school community before governmental bodies and other organizations.
Staff Recognition: To promote and provide recognition of faculty and support personnel.
Professional Development: To provide financial support through grants for the teachers to enhance their skills.
PLEASE JOIN THE PTA
The PTA relies upon membership dues in order to support the fine arts program at Ross School. Art, Music, Theatre Arts and Parent Education programs exist at Ross School due to the parent support of the PTA. In addition, the PTA funds teacher grants and stipends.
By joining the PTA, you are partnering with our teachers to enhance your child’s education. Our goal is to have 100% participation in the PTA. Please give what you can and join today. Thank you for your generous support.
